About us

Houston gutter companies: what to expect from us

We do one thing — gutters — across Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland and The Woodlands. Repairs when a repair is the right call, seamless replacement when it isn't, and honest sizing for the rain we actually get.

How we work

Three rules that cover most of it.

We look before we quote. Every estimate is done from a ladder, checking the fascia and where the water goes — not from the driveway with a tape measure. The price you get is the price you pay unless we find rot we couldn't have seen, and then we show you before we touch it.

We size for Houston. Fifty inches of rain a year in two-inch-an-hour storms. That means 3x4 downspouts as standard, 6-inch gutters where the roof calls for them, and downspout extensions on every job, because the cheapest foundation repair is a gutter that works.

We tell you when you don't need us. If a $180 reseal fixes it, that's what we'll sell you. If your gutters have five good years left, we'll say so and see you then.

What to expect from any gutter company in Houston

There are a lot of gutter contractors Houston homeowners can call, and most of the good ones work the same way. Whichever one you call — us included — you should expect:

  • A written estimate with line items: gutter size and gauge, hanger type, downspout size and count, fascia repair per foot, guards per foot, haul-away. One number on a business card isn't an estimate.
  • Proof of insurance on request, before the crew arrives.
  • A crew that checks the fascia and the drainage, not just the gutter.
  • Downspout extensions included, not sold as an extra.
  • A water test before they leave.
  • No "today-only" price. The material cost doesn't change between Tuesday and Thursday.

If you're searching for the best gutter company Houston has, that list is the test. Any company that passes it will do a good job. Any company that fails two of those points will do the job you're going to be replacing in eight years.

Insurance and licensing

Texas doesn't license gutter contractors, so the thing to ask any company for is proof of general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We'll send ours before the crew arrives. If a contractor won't, that's your answer. Roofing in Texas is the same — no state license — which is why the Texas Department of Insurance publishes its own guidance on checking a contractor's coverage after a storm.

What we don't do

We don't do roofing, foundation repair or painting. We'll tell you when we see a roof problem and you can take that to a roofer. We don't sell guards to people whose trees don't justify them, and we don't take a deposit on repairs.

Where we are

Based in Houston, working across Harris and Fort Bend counties — inside the Loop, the west side through Katy and Cypress, north to Spring, Humble and The Woodlands, south to Pasadena, Pearland and League City, and Sugar Land and Missouri City. Area codes 713, 281, 832 and 346. Our Katy and Sugar Land pages describe what's typical in those areas.
